Rants etc.....

laptops touch pad stopped working I am pretty sure it has to do with the drivers Irremoved and now cannot seem to find and install . now I have to use a mouse . which sitting in my confi chair with the laptop sitting ontop of a board which is resting on my knees makes it really awkward

Seems the deskjet 1010 isn't supported by Windows 7 and HP drivers are shit. Tried a couple of fixes suggested on some forums, nothing worked. At first I thought word was the issue, because I was able to print from notepad and other softwares.

I installed win xp in a vmware instance and this way it works :haha:

From what I can see that printer has a few workarounds to make it work with Win 7

Yes I know, none of which actually worked in my case. I got fed up honestly after 4 hours and decided to give the vmware thing a shot.

I'm gonna put my car up for sale but there seems to be a pretty vast price range on similar ones, anywhere from $3200 up to 10K. I know it needs some work before the MVI is due in Feb and I didn't take the best care of it, but I don't want to put to low or to high a price on it as I want it out of the driveway. i should have traded the damn thing in.

Rants

I thought I was going to have to sell my father's car a little while ago, and the best I could do for a trade in was possibly $6500.

It was professionally appraised for legal purposes at $9500.

Unless it's too much $ or work, best to sell it privately. Why should a dealer make 2-3 k just for cleaning and touchups?

That's my thought, whether applicable in your case or not.

Good luck with the sale though!!!:thumb:

FF

I'm thinking it needs about $1000 of work to pass inspection, maybe I should take it in somewhere and just have them check it out and give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix. I know it needs front brakes, possibly a FWB if it's not the brakes making the noise and the washer fluid line is pinched somewhere in the body of the car, probably got that way after they had the whole front end apart after a deer collision, the repair shop had a lifetime warranty on their work, however you were required to answer an annoying survey to get it, it was about 10 months after it was fixed before I even noticed the line had gotten pinched.

sounds like $1000 is being generous to what it needs...if its in good shape body wise...i'd look at the mid-high range of what they are selling and knocik off that $1000 bucks...put a price on it that you wont feel bad getting for it..

The largest scale racing event of the year the Dakar is currently taking place, and all I can find on the many hundreds of channels we do get is bobsledding, HD poker and world juniors. Speed network you ask? Granted they are playing Moto 2, but the rest of the day is filled with Nascar :angry2:

On car selling, Put it through the test yourself and get that extra coin back in your pocket(or less out really)...
Used to buy old card for a few hundred bucks when i was in college and "do em up" (the bare minimum), put them through the test and they would double in value (inc parts).
Get a quote on what needs done.. Car test, especially JUST passed makes buyers very happy :)

On the Dakar, From what I remember when I used to follow rallying (WRC, and Irish rally championships) the Dakar was never televised "live".. it was always a few weeks after.
I may be wrong though and just had crappy Irish terrestrial TV.. :P

is the Dakar rally the one where they race for days through allot of desert areas ( I love those 4x4s) or an I getting mixed up I know there is one race which supposedly is the most treacherous in the world
