Working with a cheapie tablet a friend of mine has. Thought I had bricked the damn thing and went to look for the stock firmware for said device. Find the site and fire off an email since the firmware for the model I want isn't listed . Email I receive back ...

your not going to get any firmware from any support..this is some thiung they charge for however..ikf you still have access to the bootloader you should be able to unlock and root and flash a new rom to thje tablet...i say this because i just did the same to mine after leaving the battery un-plugged for 6 months trying to buy a digitizer replacement....its tricky but possible....that is if you can find a compatible rom.
 
I got the problem fixed in the end. The stupid site had firmware for this device, but it seems the firmware is based on serial number not model number. Same model has almost 40 diff firmware roms for this except this one. I figured if they had firmware for this device based on the myriad of serial numbers , they would have this one.
 
Just recieved a phone call from shaw the person on the other end is telling me that I have downloaded over 200Gb of data in the past 6 days how in the how is that possible they als osaid that I am in the 900GB average per month, I have steamed a couple of utube vids ( watching) but come on 200GB in 6 days ?
I really need a new internet provider

Check your usage on their website. Not always accurate but its close.
 
Telus doesn't have unlimited do they?
I did check there site and it shows my usage is that high . I must have been streaming more videos then I originally thought .
he was asking if I was using netflicks which I am not streaming vids actually sucks sometimes because of buffering and most of the quality is pretty bad

Streaming vids as in you're hosting them or you're viewing them?

The problem with hosting anything live from your PC is that you've got no control over how many views you are getting and every view uses bandwidth.
