Rants etc.....

On my third business day of waiting for Amazon.ca to ship product that they tagged as "preparing for shipment" on Friday. Looking further into the reviews of the retailer (one of these "sold by XXX fulfilled by Amazon" deals) I'm noticing a disturbing number of bad reviews (mostly for shipping or missing items) that have been redacted by amazon themselves with the following comment...

Message from Amazon: "This item was fulfilled by Amazon, and we take responsibility for this fulfillment experience."

From the looks of it, those low scored aren't included in the e-tailer's rating based on the fact that Amazon is accepting responsibility for the poor service which defeats the purpose of the rating system when it comes to "fulfilled by Amazon" since I don't particularly care who's fault it is, I only want to receive my products in a timely fashion.

I've been ordering a few bits off Amazon as of late. I have watched things sit in limbo for a week and some have been good. Each time I have received my orders and not had problems. When I am searching for items, I try to stay away from those sellers whose prices seem too low. You do get what you pay for.

My rant of the day is why do people build garages and put the wood right on the slab. This is the second house I have owned that was built like this. Once again, the sill rotted and this time it killed my garage door opener when the wall shifted and jammed the door when closing. Now in the middle of my double bathroom reno, I have to take even more out of the funds to complete the main floor bathroom. It is only going to take one more $1000 problem and the main floor bathroom, which was supposed to be the whole focus of my reno this summer, will not happen this year.

Did you call or chat with them? Bought RAM for my QNAP recently, after 4 days at "preparing for shipment", I chatted with them. They quickly identified my shipment (Stuck in the warehouse line) and gave instruction to ship it right away.

Now if Purolator did not ****** up the delivery, it would have been great :P Amazon refund me the amount fo shipping even it it was free shipping.

I'm going to hold off until tomorrow before I start questioning when it's going to ship. (That'll be 4 business days).

I can't seem to catch a break. Today I got back from the short term sick leave and my boss informed me they're going to let me go. Now dealing with depression just got a hell lot of harder especially when it's 2 weeks before my birthday. Feels like that every thing that was supposed to go wrong just did.

I feel your pain. When my wife first went on permanent long term disability they cut us off for 3 1/2 months, no notice. Even when they resumed payments there was no makeup of the lost months. We nearly lost everything during that hell. Good luck!

Try the chat, the girl located my package in 15 sec. Give it a try, can't hurt :thumb:

I called and didn't get any real satisfaction other than "low stock" and I'll get an email when/if it ships. I'll give it a couple of days and cancel if I don't hear anything by the end of the week.

Interesting however to get a call center that was obviously somewhere down south in the US (based on the accent).

It's been shipped (well at least the shipping label has been created/registered). Says I'll get the product by the end of tomorrow.... we'll see. Don't know if my poke yesterday had anything to do with it.

I went through the exact same thing in 2006. Short term sick leave, came back and let go (for various reasons which they made sure was not related to sick leave) about a week before my birthday.
It's been 10 years and still bugs me. Best to move on and start a new job search. I took about 3 months off before starting to look myself, which looking back was a mistake.
People would tell me 'things happen for a reason' and 'it's another opportunity'. That's fine. That's what they would think, personally I try to use it as another 'notch in the learning curve' of life.
Best of luck with moving forward, I had no family or friends (other than online) so I hope you have some support.

Edit: Tomorrow is that anniversary. Exactly 10 years, wow. Now I feel old, on top of remembering that time. :shok:

I just emailed them at pokeman go and if they do not remove the stop that is directly in front of my house, literally 10' from my front door, I am ordering a case of bear spray........
