Recommendation on a new Mech keyboard

I've been using this for about a year now. By far the best keyboard I've ever used or games on. When I don't need the numpad it does help with desktop space for gaming. Zero complaints and the WASD is holding up really well.

Looks good and I'm sure it performs well but a bit too rich for me. I'm targetting under $150 with PBT keycaps and brown switches or under $100 with ABS keycaps

Thanks for the recommendation

No worries. It's pricey for sure. I was nervous to spend as much too but it still looks and runs great after a year or so compared to multiple other 100-150 dollar keyboards which have all failed within 12-18 months. Good luck on your search!

Of course I clicked your link and looked at it... again ;) All out of stock currently. I wonder how long before they are back in stock. Didn't hunt around the site.

I am enjoying the ASUS I bought, but I think that one may be a superior feature set. But you can't have too many keyboard right??

At some point you start running out of places to store them. :)

they didn't have the switches i really wanted when I bought it and ended up getting the silent switches. I'm glad I did end up with the quiet switches. I've bought silent switches in the past and hated them but this one has been excellent.

Yeah that was curious to me too...

So here is the thing. I use this keyboard for the past 5 years (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GLCYGFY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Love it, since I only paid about $30 USD for it and it's really good build quality with brown switches, full size and for $30, it still works today without issues. The thing is, the keyboard works fine in linux, Windows 7/10 but for some reason it doesnt work in windows 11. I plug in the keyboard, the RGB lights up, I can even change the lighting pattern but the letter keys don't work when trying to type it. I also tested by booting in to the bios, and the keyboard works fine in the BIOS, so I know the keyboard is fine but something to do with windows 11.

The other day, I was testing the keyboard again in Windows 11 on my laptop and was just sliding my hand over the entire keyboard and suddenly some letters started typing in the notepad, it seems when I hold down some letter keys near the left side of the keyboard, and type it somehow works... very weird that this doesn't happen in Windows 10 but only windows 11.

Is there a function on that keyboard to switch between mac and windows config? The GMK keyboards I've built over the last few months weren't working correctly by default when I first plugged them in, but the solution is to switch to Mac OS config and then back to windows which resolved any issues I was having.

I'm not sure but I did some more testing and found something interesting! If I hold down the letter keys ZXCV and DF at the sametime, the keyboard works! This is very odd....

EDIT: Did some more testing, it seems its not just those keys, if I hold down a few keys on 1 row, and the hold down 2 or more keys on the second or 3rd row, the keyboard works..... this is bizarre
