Recommendation on a new Mech keyboard

I'm not sure but I did some more testing and found something interesting! If I hold down the letter keys ZXCV and DF at the sametime, the keyboard works! This is very odd....

EDIT: Did some more testing, it seems its not just those keys, if I hold down a few keys on 1 row, and the hold down 2 or more keys on the second or 3rd row, the keyboard works..... this is bizarre
Is there software for the keyboard, like for programmable keys or RGB, that perhaps isn't compatible with Windows 11?

Sorry if you said that already and I missed it. I'm seriously grasping at straws on this one.

Out of curiosity I looked up when I bought my keyboard its from 2013. It still works but sometimes keys stick a bit. If you invest in a quality keyboard it should last you a wile. :)

No software, this is a budget keyboard and I actually like the sound when typing thats why I was so reluctant to change this keyboard for so long.

@sswilson I got the FREEWOLF keyboard and I'm disappointed at the build quality, very cheap plastic, lots of flex. My old dierya board is atleast twice as heavy and solid. Will be returning it. I also did buy the RK84 as you suggested and it's actually a really good keyboard. I'm typing on it right now and it feels solid. I also like the built-in USB hub as well. The only issue is I got one where the ESC key came damaged out of the box so I'll have to return it unfortunately

Heh.... can only give one "like" so I can't put both a thumbs up for the RK84 in general and a sad face for the issue with the escape key.

What switches did you get?

It's not a major issue, but I paid full price for the keyboard so I feel I should return and repurchase or maybe look for something else.

I got brown switches, I can't stand blues and reds are just ok.

That's a bit of a concerning mark. Doesn't look like a manufacturing defect, it looks like an impact mark from being dropped?
Not sure, the box was in perfect shape so I'm assuming manufacturing defect. I also noticed that the bottom of some of the other keys are not cut properly and have some plastic bits from the molding.

Are you using the stock keycaps? Do you have any of these issues?

I'm not using stock keycaps, but didn't see any obvious defects when I first got them.

As far as the bottoms go.... that's apparently typical of many/most keycaps outside of the highest end ones. It's left over from the injection process.
