Looking to replace a matched set of sealed Lead Acid batteries on an EATON UPS.... any strong suggestions from folks in the know, or should I just head down to the local Battery Depot to see what they've got?

Second question.... if the unit I'm replacing them in is 1000VA/600W would it make a difference to the unit if I replace them with a 1500VA set? It's still 2 12V batteries in series.... can't personally see what difference it would make.....

Matters not.

Get whatever is the same voltage and (physical) size. If its higher VA it just means a longer run time.

SS I think its 24volt ups unit for 2 12volt batteries are in series

the 7a to 9a means more capacity of run time

if you want can use a boat AGM battery and double the run time but it wont fit UPS case

try your local industrial battery rebuilder an cut out the middle man

Do people rebuild SLABs?

On that note.... there's one other place to check out locally (I think it's an Interstate affiliated store) but I have my doubts that there's an accessible battery rebuilder locally.
