Sandisk rebranding WD Blue and Black series to Optimus

WD SSD had a reliability problem? I don't think I heard of this before since WD Black is usually my go to if I have the money. On another note, Sabrent kind of disappeared as well.

Who said that? I’m saying that Sandisk was failing. As a company. WD had a great reputation. Which is why the switch to sandisk annoys me.

I don't think they went anywhere? Just not as heavily advertised I suppose.

Consumer SSDs kind of hit the peak... realistically has there been any reason to upgrade from a decent Gen3 drive? I don't think I saw any tangible benefit moving to Gen4, it was only for increased capacity. And I never bought into Gen5.
