4.0 is EPTU fore all backers . I saw a stream of this build yesterday it was working mostly . :)

4.0 is open to anyone who has backed the game by buying a ship package . It's in wave 4 open fore any one .
4.0 is a patch with server meshing and a whole new star system .

Its in testing EPTU is testing . :)

Anything you payed real money fore will persist but anything you got in game will disappear . Remember its still on alpha patches . :)
 
It is looking pretty good for them getting 4.0 released before year end. And the level of polish is getting there according to Org mates.

I wasn't able to play the phase missions that I think were part of IAE stuff, but the Org did with many completing them and getting the Pyro related rewards. They also successfully boarded the mission Idris and flew that around for a while :) I would have liked to get in on that, but they definitely were difficult to solo, maybe impossible not sure, and required a decent amount of play time to complete that I just don't have currently. Someday... ;)
