Superpi 1m Benchmark Competition

Looks good. I've got to cut back from 12GB of memory to 6GB to reduce the load on the IMC. That would allow for some higher clocks and lower memory timings.

Timings aren't really going to help in 1M. 1M runs primarily on the CPU cache alone, so CPU frequency is the key factor, with help from OS stripping and tweaking.

So I haven't seen any Sandy Bridge results posted yet... maybe 'cause it's so easy it feels like cheating somehow? Anyhows I'd be curious to see other results... this was my first night playing with the chip:bananafunky:

Keep in mind with speed step and LLC enabled as soon as the run's done everything is downclocked.

G777, Thats a sweet bench man.

Thanks, my best time so far is 7.613s but I didn't bother with a screenshot. Anything over 1.5v I get a "cpu overvoltage error" and have to F1 into bios, so I need to do a little more research before going further. Waiting on a backplate for my cpu block, but temps are pretty low just with a 212+ that I had lying around.

@3oh6- Now that's a real score:thumb:
