The Beats by Dr. Dre Review Comment thread

Monster has been ripping people off with their vastly overpriced products for too long now for me to ever trust them.

People like picking on Monster even though the whole AV industry is in the same boat they are.

Hey nobody put a gun to your head and said you have to buy their products. If you believe all the hype and fall prey to their marketing tatics than you only have yourself to blame.

Personally, I think the HD595s are a step back from previous generations. I can't speak for the ATH-A700s though.

Apparently the A700's are equivalent, if not a little better than the HD-595's. The thing is, mine were $100.00 shipped, and the HD650's can be bought for $280.00 shipped on other forums, so I don't know if these cans would be worthwhile for the extra cash.

I just bought them yesterday.
Have not tested them yet. Went off all the great reviews on the net including the one here.
Ended up paying 299.99+tx.
Can't wait to setup my receiver and try these babies on.
Supposedly well worth the money. Have not heard one bad review about them.

Let us know what you think. I am seriously thinking of picking these up to compliment my Razer Pro Solutions in-ear 'phones.

I've never bought a monster product. Why would I buy something I think is a ripoff?

It's criminal the way they catch the less savy consumers, more so the unscrupulous sales people though.

Your $900 TV does not need a $600 powerbar. And $600 for a powerbar is criminal in itself.

Considering that $900 TV probably has the EXACT SAME markup as a $600 Monster Power Bar, you shouldn't be buying that either. The issue is that you and everyone else thinks the current electronics are perfectly OK because that's exactly what the companies WANT you to think.
