The Happy thread!

That is one big benign tumor. But it is even better to hear that there is nothing to worry about. I am assuming that he is talking and all is well? I know going up into the head can be a bit of a gamble.

So far no ill effects. And yes, it was very dicey where it was. So much so that there was a pretty good chance it wouldn't be him that woke up, if he ever did.

If its for bell yes but after 90 days.

The quote says immediately if the device is bought outright... As far as I can tell, there is no contract tied to a bell / rogers prepaid phone. I'll give it a couple of days for the dust to settle and then give them a call... I suspect though that it'll be like pulling bloody teeth especially since we're dealing with a prepaid phone.

Woops yeah sorry if bought outright they can give you the unlock code.. But I did hear it costs money.

Yeah it looks like they can still charge a fee.....

The code will also limit overage charges for data at $50 a month, while international data roaming charges will be capped at $100 a month. That could mean that consumers run the risk of their service being cut off when travelling if they do not choose to sign up for additional roaming usage. Consumers will also have the right to have their smartphones “unlocked” after 90 days, but the CRTC will not regulate the price that consumers pay.

Looks like bell is charging $50, but considering I got the phone for $50 off regular price that's pretty much win-win if I can't find a way to get it done without using bell. :)

It really is the little things in life....

Went digging into the box of my young lad's intel 1366 mobo just to grab a spare sata cable from a convenient location and discovered that the angled sata connectors connect opposite to the norm so now I've got a couple of decent cable to use for connecting side/bottom mount SDD/HDDs in my mitx CM case.... ;)

WOW, NCIX was awesome to me.... Bought 2 30" monitors day before black Friday ($100ea) because the deal ended. Then black Friday they go on for $200 off each. Sort of non-shalantly I messaged them to kinda bitch/complain.

Today I get a message of a $200 refund, sweet they price matched the sale price the day after I bought them.
I never expected a response even.

Managed to shave somewhere around $70 off of my monthly rogers cable/internet/homephone bill while keeping the same services... even ended up with a second PVR in the house which replaced an SD box. Rogers has some silly good no contract bundles in Atlantic Canada these days... I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that Bell has no cap, and their door-to-door salespeople are offering to buy out rogers contracts. :)
