The Winamp Thread

One of Winamps best features is the ability to modify the players internal behaviour by using plugins. You can change the file type it plays, how the player decodes the files, what DSP effects are aplied to them,how the songs are prepared for output or what outputs the player is linked to. More info to follow...

Both are exceptional players. I will be adding more informaiton ot this thread. Just so busy haven't had any time to write too much info in the threads.

Except it takes 10x as much work to make foobar as functional as winamp and even then foobar cannot properly play video back which winamp can do.

Winamp has a lot more versatility and is a much better player imho.
 
Don't remember if I ever replied to this thread and can't really be arsed to look through and find out. I'm still using Winamp 2.95, never found the need to update it. Never have any issues with it and there is always a plugin for added functionality. I tried foobar, great program but as mentioned a pain in the ass to setup. Although I haven't tried it in a few years.

Yes Ozone is used by many. You might want to check out Audioburst output plugin also. There are two one is a paid DSP and the other is a free output. Try out the free output plugin soudsn really good based on postings..
