This sounds wonderful another screw up by Microsoft

Microsoft has released an emergency patch to fix this issue...but now I can't find the article about it.
The only emergence patch I could find has to deal with Reset and recovery operations, which I guess they had a problem with on Windows 11.

From what I can see, everyone is still trying to find out if this is even an MS problem. Phison/MS have said they are investigating, that's it, they have not said this is in fact a problem. Which, I question very much. I mean, it's been several days now and there haven't been any more reports from what I can see.

The other thing I am wondering is all the articles just report the original report; there is no new data or reports from anyone besides the first group/poster. If this is true, why has it only been seen in Japan? strange

Funny enough I allowed an update to be applied to my pc at home saturday night, it had been queued for a few days. Normally I select "Update and shutdown" so I do this and walk away. Sunday noon-ish I walk over to the pc and it's still on, at the desktop. Not many times has it applied an update and not shut down. Looks like the update applied correctly and it ran fine all day.
Then I saw this on Hardware Unboxed's twitter:
(what a strange way to show x.com links)
Anyhow there's 8 hours from now left on the poll.
