This game has been out awhile on PS3 and Xbox and scored some pretty decent reviews but one gripe many had was the controls. Now out on PC I don't think controls will be a problem but who knows. Console ports have notoriously been crippled in regards to the users changing control schemes so I've not holding my breath. I just may have to pick this bad boy up next time in town as it looks to be a fresh take on the RTS genre and truthfully I've never been disapointed with a game Tom Clancy put his name on.

I bought it upon release and traded it in the next day. Horrible game imo. The whole voice command thing gets really old, really quick.


Just my 2 cents.
 
Hm, I am on a Ubisoft hate wagon again so I am skipping this one. Not a big fan of their console ports. They had a few good releases over the last year that worked pretty well but they are back to their old tricks of under delivering for PC again. :\

As I see it the voice command for the consoles was a nessesary evil as you just don't have the flexability of movement that 104 keys and a mouse afford. If they force a PC player to use the voice commands I think it will turn out badly. I do give UBI alot of grief myself but really in this respect I have to give them the nod for trying something new and innovative.

You guys may have sowed the seed of trepidation in me about this game and perhaps I'll wait to see more specific PC reviews on it before I lay down my $56. Besides Empire Total War hits the streets in just 10 days. Can't wait!!!
 
Most RTS games for the console have been severely "casualed" down; it is a very basic RTS. The voice commands seem like a necessity, as it is hard to micro manage with a controller. The voice commands with the PC are more annoying than innovative, and seem like a gimmick since a keyboard and mouse make it alot easier to micro manage.
 
From what I have read for this game on PC. STAY FAR AWAY FROM IT. It sucks. It is like a crippled down version of WiC with very bad controls and the camera is even worse. This is one crappy RTS on console and PC. There aren't even formations or much strategy in this game.
