Rants etc.....

I've just largely switched to the bottles of Ito En tea from the asian grocery at this point. Some days it's green, others hojicha or golden oolong.

I like the occasional diet coke still, but don't drink much pop anymore.
I still drink too much soda, but compared to what I drank before getting married, it's nothing. we do drink a lot of soda water though...so I make sure I keep up on my calcium supplement!

I think I drink too much pop, all Coke Zero, my doctors give me a pass since it's one of two main things I can and like to consume, Boost 1.5 cal per/ml keeps me alive, the rest is Coke Zero and water.
Pop is sooooo bad for you. I rarely drink pop unless I'm drinking hard stuff, but I don't drink that much anymore. My wife found another kind of pop that has way less sugar.

Google this: coke hides evidence of health risk

I didn't read all of this one: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9891650/

is this why coke is differnt in mexico? seen so many diff vidson how they use syrup in NA but cane sugar or worse in mexican coke. we also switched i stopped drinking pop a long time ago dropped nearly 24kg and i never really drank much switched to suagar free /aspertame free version of anything sweet keeping carb intake under 160 net grams a day no naked carbs ( no bread unless it has peanut butter on it) even bread intake between me and wife we cant finish a load before it goes bad. and cant justify $9 for that Carbonaught bread lol.

To add to my stress level today was supposed to be the subject removal date on the deal to sell our house. The buyer just asked for a week extension after already having 15 days to get their stuff sorted. Our realtor said that was unreasonably long to extend it and the 30th would be acceptable. He's already gotten the ok from the sellers to extend the subject removal on our new home until Monday. But another 4 days of wondering whether our house is actually sold is going to cost me more sleepless nights. 🤬

Hey now, I really like Zevia. That said, I like the ginger one, the orange, and the root beer. But I am not a big fan of the creamy root beer, that one is sub par. But they are all much better cold, specially the root beer. Same with their new orange creamsicle flavor, not bad at the beginning of the can and decent enough if you drink it fairly quick and cold, but once it gets anywhere near room temp, it is like that creamy root beer, just not good.
It is creamy root beer. And it was cold. It just tastes like warm beer. Like a skunky after taste, like you get with actual beer. I can't see how it made it into production. Just nasty.

Cream Soda and grape are alright. Ginger Ale is a lot worse than Canada Dry Zero.

Oh, I am aware, this is the lesser of the evils ( the other is going crazy and sticking a Fun in my mouth). Because I survive on pretty much pure sugar, everyone, inculding my self and my doctors are surprised I don't have diabetes yet, keyword being yet. I love Coca-Cola and only drink the zero kind, its the one luxury I can allow myself, living a life with zero flavour is not easy mentally. I only drink 3 cans a day max and the rest is water, but it still worries me. My doctors, not so much.

As of right now, I can say there are only 2 things for sure I can safely consume (Boost Vanilla/Coke Zero Cherry), anything new I could try may also want to kill me, not much I can do as time has gone on, more and more things I can't consume. Always worried next will be my boost, which would mean a feeding tube, fingers crossed that never happens.

Doesn't surprise me about it being the creamy one. I can drink it when cold, but it is down on the list, their regular normal root beer is so much better.

As for the Canada Dry Zero, I don't drink or eat anything with aspartame in it, if I can avoid it. Hence why I went to Zevia.

Aside from special occasions I do try to stay away from excesses carbs and sugars, so no regular pop. Once the stream of house guests end after this week we can get back into the swing of things and get rid of any extra junk. So that means no chips (haven't had normal potato chips in a couple months), almost no bread, no sugar filled desserts, and not much juice. Did recently find Tropicana does a zero sugar juice that doesn't have aspartame in it, and I really like it so that is my go to now. We are trying to do steak 2-3 times a week, and with just a baked potato as a side. Also eat lots of cheese, eggs, pepperoni and such. So not zero carb or just meat, but mostly meat/animal products with a little bit of carbs here and there.

Since I can't eat the gluten it makes ignoring the bread stuff pretty easy and I can say that we I am off the wagon like right now (house guests ruin things) I find I have way more aches and joint pains. Once on my low carb, almost meatatarian diet, the aches and pains are way less, plus I find I am nowhere near as hungry, so I eat lease too.
