discussion Tv upgrade.

Tv is for movies and youtube. Looking for a great image for a price around 1100$ + tx. I would like size 70 or 75 inches. I do not use smart apps or netflix.

We picked a Sony OLED up through Costco. I second the recommendation to go to Rtings as well. There are a lot of reviews on YouTube, various channels looking at all sorts of models every year. If you have a brand preference use that to narrow down your choice and then do some searches for reviews.

No complaints from me on the Sony though.

LG was the OLED king for the longest time and Sony seemed to be the 3rd place 'premium TV' brand behind LG and Samsung in the post-plasma world. I haven't been following too closely, but my understanding is the Sony OLEDs of the last few years have been generally stellar and IIRC have knocked LGs out of the top spot as often as not, while Samsung has started to trail notably.

I'd consider a Sony any day for a new TV, wish they still were competing much in the NA cell market. My Xperia Z3 was the best phone I ever owned.

I wouldn't say that. Their higher end models are pretty dope, with great panels and awesome picture quality.

I just feel like they're falling behind in the budget market sector. At least, that's my experience with both my Samsungs.
