UFC 124

As Joe Rogan said at the start of the fight (I think it was Joe) : "Josh isn't an asshole in real life, he's actually a nice guy"

I absolutely believe this. It all goes back to the 1980s WWF. Good guys versus bad. Koschek has to play the 'bad guy' in order to get attendance.. so he does that - lets a few words slip (which, for all we know were pre scripted) and seats sell out, and pay per view ratings go way up.. and so does his paycheck.
He's a good actor, I guess.. depends on the audience really.

It was an 'ok' fight - nothing really impressive.. even GSP knew it wasn't great at the end. Everyone likes to see the knock-outs or tap-outs.. but they all don't end that way.

Half way through the fight I was bored and really didn't care.

Once GSP got that hit to his eye the fight was done imho.

On the same token, I don't consider myself a fan of NASCAR but I love watching the crashes! :thumb:
 
Ive been a UFC fan since teh first one and even I fell asleep during the last 3 rounds of that fight lol. On another note - I personally think the UFC has been butchered from its original intent.

I really enjoyed GSP's technical display.

I agree with the last part, though. The UFE, I mean WWC, I mean UFC really is starting to get too WWE.
 
Hoyce Gracies father orignally started UFC to stop the arguments of what art was truly the best out there. His method was , size ,weight and time didnt matter it was which combatant came out triumphant because of his art. Once they put weight classes , gloves and time limits they ruined it. Dana white took it one step further and ruined it the same fashion don king ruined boxing. (Thankfully pacman is slowly restoring boxing to its former glory)
 
Did you watch TUF? Josh seems like a pretty big asshole to me..

What about his comments after the Daley fight? He wasnt hyping a fight then, it was over.

agreed, hes a punk, starts shit talk with the Medic and then grabbing the guy and tryin to start a street fight because he can dish trash talk but cant take it. koscheck a pathetic big mouth idiot.
