discussion What GPU feels like the best value right now?

Curious what everyone thinks is the current sweet spot for GPU value right now. Feels like prices are all over the place depending on the tier.

Used 9070 XT probably? Guess it depends on your budget though.

When lower tier cards like 5060ti are punching at $1000 used is where if look first too if I needed something.

Best bang for buck IMHO would be a 9060xt 16 GB model, priced between 620 and 750CAD before taxes, they compete with the 5060ti 16 GB, which are around 1000 now.

I saw the 9060xt 16GB for 500$ last week on RFD, so that would be my choice if I had a gpu to buy now.

I mean I guess best value though is going to depend on what resolution and game settings are you hoping to run at. If you're hoping to run 4K but your budget is forcing you to the lower end GPUs, then the value discussion changes.

Yeah that’s true too, best value probably changes a lot depending on whether someone’s targeting 1080p, 1440p or 4K.

Yeah I think you almost need a best "value" per tier. But GPUs are so bonkers it's hard to use the word value at the higher end!

For example, I'd say the 9070 XT and the 5070 Ti are the best money options for 1440p and 4K gaming, even thought the 5070 Ti is way over MSRP. You might have to take a bit of a hit to the settings at 4K, but unless you have boundless budget, the visual difference isn't enough imo it justify the cost increase to a 5080.
