What is your highest q6600 overclock?

Heh... if you haven't got the point yet..... unless you're ambient temps are < 10c something isn't adding up. Either your temp sensors are completely out of whack, or your board isn't delivering anything near to the 1.7 you say you're putting into it.

I run 1.55 under water @ 3.75G with load temps in the 55c - 60c range. Once you get to a Vcore above 1.45 - 1.5 temps no longer raise in a linear fashion, every little bump adds a disproportionate raise in core temps.

I'd expect 1.7 under air w/ normal ambient temps to be peaking at a minimum of 75c if not closer to 90c.

Until you figure out which of your readings are out of whack, you're taking a heavy chance of frying something. :)

i have mine at 1.4 volts @ 3.6ghz
it idles at 22C and loads at 47 - 50C WITH watercooling...

I've gotten mine to 3.825 @ 1.575V, but I won't increase the voltage any more than that until I have something new sitting in a box waiting to be installed.
 
3.6@ 1.425V on air(TRUE) ATM,will go higher when i get my temps under control,may use my WC kit now :)
after vdroop im running 1.385V i believe.
My idle temps are 38-42c/ load-62-65 ...im impressed by this 100.00 chip,best monies spent yet.

btw ambient is like 26c in my house,hehe i get cold easy

Lol I thought I was doing OK. I'm at 45c Boinc load on air, stock volts at 3.0ghz.

I need an air cooler that gets me below ambient temps while OCing (ie 17c chip, 19c room)
 
3.4GHz w/ TRUE and MX-2. Runs @ 1.425v 29*C idle and 44*C load. 750i FTW is pencil modded.
