discussion what software do you use to catalog receipts and such via your phone / tablet cameras, etc, OCR I think it's called?

what I found very surprising is that Google has had this feature and yet all of us, I included have always searched elsewhere for something thing like this yet all of us Andriod users have had it already and one thing I hate is having to install another app to get what my device had all along who knew clearly none of us lol.


well crazea it seems you can do the same with google keeps (their notepad app ) just another who knew, learn something new every day lol

I will be honest. I looked it up after someone here said it was built into android. Lol.

I use Adobe scan. I have to have a subscription to Adobe for business purposes, and can claim it as an expense. Works really well. Has a backed-up online archive for your scans in Adobe cloud, etc. Works with your camera and does a pretty good job of scanning documents or receipts.

I honestly don't have any complaints about it. There's a monthly price of course, but it's better than shitty mobile ads I suppose.

does it create a PDF or some other text document?

You can save as JPEG / PDF / TEXT.

I did not know you could scan from iphone note and from google in android.
