Whats your latest purchase?

A pair of Screenbeam ECB7250 MoCA adapters in order to move one of my APs to the main floor. As mentioned in another thread, much cheaper (-$70 before tax) getting them in from the US (B&H) than to order them in from a Canadian source. Shipping through Customs was surprisingly fast using Fedex. Ordered late Saturday night, received Thursday afternoon.

Went on a retro spluge after getting an old trinitron last month (or the month before). In the last month I bought;

- NES
- Imported a Japanse Super Famicom and edge enhancer chip
- Imported a Japanese N64 w/ expansion pack, and an N64 RGB chip
- Sega Genesis and 32X, Triple bypass chip
- Sega Saturn and satiator
- Sega Dreamcast
- PS1 7501 Model, Gameshark Pro and Xstation
- Slim PS2 model and the IDE-Micro SD adapter
- Scart part to install on the trinitron
- Capacitor set for the SFC and N64.
- Imported a NEC PC Engine Supergrafx Core

Going to get a bunch of flash carts from Krikzz, and still plan on getting a Platinum Gamecube, Black Wii. Also need to chase down some lightguns and a few extra controllers.

I'm keeping my eye out for one of the large curved Sony Trinitrons like the KV-35XBR48 but they're pretty rare here apparently. But there's no rush. Going to have a lot of soldering and modding to do to get all the consoles ready. I also want to build a custom TV stand with consoles, but that'll be after. Want to make something nice and not the typical ugly cart or ikea hacked together setup.

Of course if any of you ever have a lead on the aforementioned KV-35XBR48 a pointer is appreciated ;)

Edit:
*Whoops* forgot I ordered the new Neo Geo AES+ and an extra stick too.

I'm like you, I didn't need a new phone but I saw the Iphone Air and really liked the form factor.

2017 Nvidia Shield TV Pro for $30 off FB. Software hasn't been updated in 4 years lol.

Still one of the best media streamers. Still getting updates.

EDIT: Damn it. 2017 model not 2019. Doesn't support Dolby Vision. NO!

Lenovo Legion Pro 32UD-10 32" OLED 4K monitor

I had a ton of Lenovo rewards saved up and they were approaching expiry so I needed to buy something with them. The 32UD-10 was listed at just under $1200 for me, which isn't too bad a price, especially when I'm using rewards and my actual out of pocket is $0. I'm not positive that 4k is ideal for me to replace the ultrawide, but as a secondary monitor, ABOVE my main OLED ultrawide, the 4K should be a great addition. It will replace a second 1440p ultrawide that will end up going to my wife. The extra screen real-estate will be a welcome bump for productivity day to day.

I'll be interested to hear (read) your assessment. I struggle with 4K native on 27-32" screens. Hence why I have a 43". But my eyes are older than they used to be :)

This is my concern as well, so I'm interested to see it in action. I'm likely going to play around with the configuration a bit, using the 4K as both a secondary and main monitor. We'll see what works best for me, although the Alienware AW3423DWF as a primary display has been pretty damn nice and I feel will be hard to replace.

I use 28in 4k monitors without scaling in the office, but i'm slightly near sighted anyways so it hasn't been an issue. I do know more than a few people with monitors in this size range that end up using 125-150% scaling.

And there's nothing wrong with upscaling of course, just means you lose the added screen real estate people may have bought the 4K screen for.

On my 43" 4K I used to scale, then I went to progressive lenses and I could read the text comfortably again at 100% scaling. I was pleased!
