I do have two 2x10G cards on hand I might just setup 20G links for the server and the NAS since thats where most of the traffic will be anyways... but was not the purpose. I really wanted to leverage all the rest of the 10G capable hardware I actually have on hand but was being blocked from doing so due to lack of ports.
Can you "aggregate" the NICs? I'm trying to wrap my mind around how a person would increase their server throughput beyond the 10G limit of a single NIC.
I suppose the next step would be some form of optical nic......
Everything faster than 1G that I have on hand is all fiber based. I'm not using fiber to ethernet adapters or anything like that... including the 10G card in my desktop (W11 and Intel based x520 cards not 100% playing well together though)
AMD reference 7900 XT direct from AMD.com.
I had a very good used offer on an XTX (thank you again) but it was an aftermarket card and I just couldn’t figure out how to get it in my case! And I didn’t want this to turn into a whole PC rebuild. Plus I liked the idea of keeping just the two 8-pin power connectors.
It’ll be a good performance jump over the 6800 XT so I’m looking forward to it arriving. First time I’ve bought a new GPU in a very long time. On sale at AMD.com.

Thanks all and Bond007! I’m excited. Now I am in the weird dilemma of do I play any more of my current games with the current GPU or do I wait for the new card to get here? First world problems indeed lol
How long will the 7900XT take to arrive?
Said 7-10 days, I’m guessing that is after it ships. No shipping notification yet, but there will be one according to the purchase info.
Edit: And that actually may be fine because I have a very busy week and weekend coming, so best not to be distracted with a new GPU waiting to be installed!
