Onething I have found and custom knife makers all say the same thing don't use a plastic cutting board, the plastic ones that are made from white plastic are much more dense then wood which dulls a knife faster and I have found that as well.

I need to get a lot better at maintaining my knives :(
That wasy my problem after a while using my TSProf K03 it just started feeling like it no fun and I dredded using it because I can't leave it set up and it's so big and heavy and there's so much stuff to have to dig out to use it I really hated sharpening with it the last 3 years.

Now with my KMFS Vantaedge because it's so fast to set up and it's small and portable and I don't have to dick around with an angle finder or compensating for different stones thickness's after eavery stone change and have to readjust the angle.

Now it feels really fun to sharpen again, the only thing not fun right now is waiting for a warm day so I can throw 4 coats of Varathane on a wooden base I made for my new sharpener.

OMG, I need a good EDC knife for work around my property.

Fore home and garden try Mora maybe . :)
