Witcher 3 - The Wild Hunt

Also have several potions/decocotions for attack (succubus, leshen, etc...). Have in total about 30 mods currently active and looking to add about half a dozen more. Too bad I missed the steam summer sale otherwise I would have bought Witcher 2 as well.

Is there any reason why you aren't using any of the Witcher weapon/armour sets? Some of their bonuses are quite great.

I'll be honest I prefer the appearance of the Touissant relic armor set. I have all the grandmaster sets but their bonuses didn't quite appeal to me. Only the Grandmaster Wolf gear was possibly interesting but I may as well try out the Viper Armor I got from Heart of Stone then. I also have the Tesham Mutna armor set I can use if need be. They also seem to offer better armor and resistance than the Grandmaster sets too.
 
I suppose it is each to their own, I remember when I had the grandmaster armour that I would actually use two different ones, 3 items from the Grandmaster Cat to get: Strong Attacks increase Fast Attack damage for 5 seconds by 10% for each piece of the set and 3 items from the Grandmaster Griffon to get: After using Stamina to cast a Sign in its standard mode, the next Sign cast within 3 seconds will be cast in standard mode without using Stamina. That Griffon 3 item bonus is fantastic on Death March.

I think that those bonuses are good but when you consider a higher leveled player with relic gear it doesn't really add much to it. Both Hen Gaidth/Tesham Mutna and Touissant Relic armor sets offer excellent armor protection and bonuses. So if you have Blood and Wine mutations and attack mutations active it doesn't make a huge difference.
 
Anyone run into any issues with Rivatuner Statistics Server 7 and the latest Windows 10 updates. I updated my Rivatuner Statistics Server to Version 7 Beta (only one that works with latest Windows 10 updates) and it causes the game to freeze within a few minutes. If I add a profile for it to not to detect Witcher 3 it works perfectly fine. Didn't have this issue prior to the updates and latest Rivatuner update.

Also by freeze I mean the video is frozen but sound is still working (can hear inventory, calling roach, etc...) only the video remains frozen. Also tried both Vector 3D and Raster 3D options but that didn't seem to help much. Vector 3D extended the gameplay for a few more minutes but still freezes the video.

Have to say that New Game+ is fantastic so far. I wonder if it would be possible to do a brand-new New Game+ when you finish the New Game+. Even the gear and equipment I've found (Legendary) are so much better than my current equipment. For example my current Legendary Viper Steel Sword (found diagram in White Orchard) is actually better than Vitis or Geralt of Rivias sword which I carried over significantly.

So if I understood correctly if you finish New Game+ you cannot retain your equipment and settings over and start a New Game+ like you did previously for the first time?

BTW for New Game+ I am enjoying the Legendary Viper Steel Sword. Found the diagram in White Orchard and it's been my go-to steel sword. Also added the whirl/severance enhancement to it and it's fantastic. Now not sure what to do with Geralt's steel sword or Vitis to be honest. I'm still using the Aerondight though.

What I absolutely love about the Aerondight is when you combo it for a 10 hit streak. At that point it begins to glow yellow and can deal terrifying amounts of damage as critical hits. I have the Gesheft as well but I haven't used it.

Yup. You start @ level one and have the starting equipment only.

I don't like it at all.

Sure damage is increased by 50-68. But no runestones and no suit bonus. If you are doing a critical hit / euphoria build, you are getting criticals 90% of the time within the 3rd swing w/ damage around 2000-3000.




I guess if you were starting a new game+ w/ it, it would be alright.
