Gamers Nexus vs LTT

Steve took the joke of tech Jesus to heart, he fell into the trap of thinking he is a hard-hitting journalist, there has been a piece or two that was very subjective and well-written(IE, nzxt PCIe fire case), the rest are just attacks/errors/lies looking for anything to drum up drama or controversy the viewer has to decide what is what, he has taken several things out of context and not done any research into some things and runs with it, I think what happened was he did a couple of good pieces and got him huge views and now feels that is what he has to do, sadly the crap with LTT&GN seems to have messed up GN far more then LTT, steve appears to have a real hate on for Linus, some of what he said was legitimate for LTT, some of it was horsesh1t (I watch both from time to time) but I found it funny that once steve found out about LTT Labs LMG as a whole suddenly became the enemy and a large horrible corporation.

tech channels/places for me

TechYesCity
hardware unboxed
hardware canucks
as my main sources, since they focus on facts not opinions.

then for fun or to see the stupidity this week
LTT
GN

this is not to say that they both do good work from time to time. I have watched both since the early days and both have fallen off a cliff in the last few years

edit, Linus talks about it before starting the wan show.
wan show?

any good?
sometimes, it's kinda like anything else LMG does lately, some are good, some you jump through, and some you avoid.

back in the day, it was pretty good, when they stay talking about tech it's not bad since they sometimes cover newer tech stuff that may or may not make it to production.

It would have been back in 2021. He was nitpicking every possible thing in the Dell G5 tower (mostly focused on the fact that a proprietary pre-built was 😲 filled with proprietary parts). At one point he was complaining about the cramped quarters (again... a feature, not a bug) and "frustratingly" fumbled inside it presumably trying to remove/install something. It was nauseating.

I remember it! I believe this is the one...

Watching it back now, I definitely feel it's more cringe than I recall it being back then.

EXACTLY!!! (y)

Think I might've said this before, i.e. I basically quit watchin' the WAN show quite a while ago(although I watch part of some of 'em on a rare occasion), simply because it usually ends up being a Linus monologue, to the point of Luke often getting cut off mid sentence.

With Linus, you can sure tell when he is shilling a product.

Perfect example is when he "reviewed" the 55" Ark and he was just going on "oh wow 1000 zones!!!" (or however many it has), he made a big too do about it (was getting sickening) and a few weeks before he reviewed something like the Samsung g9 that had something like 2500 zones and barely made a comment on it.
