Howdy everyone! Been about ten years since I've posted or built a computer. Here's my new purchased parts list. Let me know what y'all think.

Well, I think I'm ready to try a POST. Will hook up a separate monitor, keyboard & mouse in the morning and give it a go. More pics to follow if there are no fires.

You know, I never experienced that on the 9900X build I just did. At least I don't think I did. Booted up very fast, even the first time, 64 GB RAM. 🤷‍♂️

Going to need help here please.

1st boot try, not so good. Ram lights up, AIO lights up, fans turning & pumping. Zero power to video card, no fans, nada. Didn't bother trying to post beyond that because of no power to GPU fans. Checked cabling on video card & looks good.

Will remove GPU and see if I can POST & enter bios. If the PCI slot isn't picked as Primary display in Bios, it should still power up the card, shouldn't it?

Waiting to hear back. Thanks.

P.S. Is there a 911 thread?

Does your board have a post screen (shows a digital number indicating what function the board is attempting to carry out)?

One thing to keep in mind is that AM5 w/ DDR5 takes forever to "learn" the correct settings on initial post. And by "forever", we're talking minutes, not seconds of what appears to be a hung post.

It does, & I didn't notice what is was doing. Scares me, not having any fans turning on the GPU though. Should I try it again with the GPU installed and see if it goes through CPU, DRAM, VGA & BOOT? I guess if the GPU is not getting power, it can't burn up, right? The case fans, other than the AIO fans are not coming on either.

are you sure it isnt that silly AMD ram training thing where it fires up and seems to do nothing forever. my first time building AM5 DDR5 I replaced the CPU motherboard only to discover that there was nothing wrong with them, it was just training the ram.
Did the GPU power up though?
