Rants etc.....

I'm not sure it costs "a lot of money" to get a pardon these days. It's not free, but if you do it yourself through the appropriate government agency I believe the fee is what they figure it costs the bureaucracy to get it done.

Start here... Record Suspensions Do NOT use one of the third party services... they're basically crooks who can't do anything more for you than you can easily do yoursef (see the little slide show on the website I posted).

Good luck.

My rant for the day... picked up the cheapest A$$ 64G USB dongle I could get my hands on at Staples in order to make up a relatively easy backup image for my young lad's laptop.... I can't believe how bloody slow this thing (verbatum) is!!!! I may end up taking it back and paying the extra $5 for a slightly faster one. This one works, but it's painfully slow to boot, and then it's gotta deal with 34G worth of image file..... ;)

Speaking of Ukraine, my Microsoft account got compromised by an IP in the Ukraine. Good thing Microsoft asked for another authentication code, which he couldn't provide. All he could do is change my phone number under the profile lol. This thought me to not use dictionary words as a password. Changed my password and enables 2 step authentication.

Also as a proper rant: Old vw + electrical issues. The joys of owning a vw.

He he old vw wiring... I went to bmw now lol. What car are you driving now?

I bought the Kingston data traveller which is one of the fdastest, 16gb about $20 with tax.

As quick as I've seen. Canada Computers & Electronics | Flash Memory/Drives | Kingston DataTraveler R3.0 G2 16GB USB Flash Drive, Read: 120MB/s, Write: 25MB/s (DTR30G2/16GB)

Hahaha they dropped the price another $2 so it's $16 plus the government's pound of flesh.:blarg:

Hope that helps!

Needs to be at least 64GB in order to fit the image. They had a faster stick for an extra $5 so I'll give that a try.

I've got to go to Houston on Saturday for a week of work related stuff.

A) I hate traveling around the holidays. I never go anywhere in December just to avoid any seasonal crowds :S. At least it won't be too bad yet.
B) Texas.... urrggh.

not to self DO Not Order from Sport check using paypal because you cannot take the order back to local store .
tying to find running shoes that fit my size 13 1/2 feet shoe sizes are so messed up and the price of running shoes even in the off season are just stupid I don't want to spend 100CAD( 50-70 off already on original price) for running shoes just to find a shoe that fit my feet.

yeah they have larger capacities, and the cheaper ones work pretty good if they're 3.0 capable, duhhhh...lol

I bought a cheaper 1 and gave it to a friend for helping me out and it was pretty quick, even without a 3.0 port. $10

Heh... this one's 2.0 and I've pretty much given up on my initial idea of using it to store a 30GB+ image. Not sure if it's issues WRT such a large contiguous file on something designed to work formatted fat 32, or if it's something related to the actual hardware (I replaced it with a kingston data traveler) but once the image is on the drive, the drive then seems to become flaky WRT booting.

I ended up re-installing win7 from an already partitioned drive which allowed me to avoid the issues around restoring both the main partition and that silly 100MB system partition. Now that there's only one OS partition I can now place the image in a hidden partion, boot paragon from a small USB drive (an old 2G corsair) and restore the OS partition on it's own from the hard drive.

Guess I'll use it for storing all of my ISOs. :)

my feet are to big lol I went to every store I could find to get running shoes size 14 w maybe size 14.5 but cannot find a single pair that are less then 100CAD , if my shoes would last 300+ "Miles " of running I would pay more but not worth it when I go through running shoes every 3-4 months grrrrr

Sorry but you lost me after you switched to the other way. Self taught so technical lingo is out of my vocabulary for the most part. Duhhhhh:rofl:

I formatted mine and installed the Windows format so I could have a USB with win 8.1 for my wife's or daughter's laptop,

Once NTFS was on, np.
