RTX 3080 on EVGA's website

I wonder why people think that the 3080 uses all this power that it heats your house... The 1080 Ti uses like 10w less power... I have the cards on its own PSU I'm seeing 241w in game and 338w OC from the wall in benchmarks.

Because AMD fans needed something to attack. You can bet if the new AMD cards use 300W or so that will suddenly not be a thing. Of course, NVidia fans attacked AMD over their "high" power usage when Pascal came out, so there is that too. All pretty stupid in the end!

Small correction, Danish retailer not Dutch , tried ordering from the same site, but alas no luck either(im actually from Denmark and still couldn't get one before they were ripped off the shelves.

Memory Express south Edmonton had about 6 3090 cards sitting on the shelf. One disappeared while I was there. At $2500 not going to fly away

If they just dropped it to $1200 USD I could convince myself it was fine, but I just can't do it.

They are just too much more cost for not much performance increase. Much better off hoping for a 3080 or try to get a 3080ti when that hits.

EVGA added a notify button for the 3080 XC Ultra Hybrid today. An new option to line up for. And cheaper than the FTW Ultra!
