Maybe wait a bit for the evo to come out.

Hold on. The evo is a mid tower. Never mind.

Right but I thought I read somewhere or a review of a better take on the O11D Dynamic XL....cant remember where though....somewhere....we shall see !

Just an update....
Been playing CP77 just about every night for 2-3 hrs over the past few weeks....yard work during the day....mindless gaming in the evening.

- 12900k All Core OC 5.1P / 4.1E w 1.285v Manual LLC 4 (really not a a lot of tweaks in BIOS for this at all)
- 5.2P / 4.1E requires vcore at 1.345v LLC 5 but additional heat simply not worth the extra 100 Mhz.
- Dominator DDR5 6000 C32 w VDD/Q 1.325v MC 1.3v VDD Transmitter 1.325v SA 1.22v
- 3080Ti FTW3 +120 / +725 (no added voltage), Boost "in game" 2085 - 2115 Mhz

Max CPU temp gaming 57c
Max GPU temp gaming 45c

Gaming has been solid with no anomalies, CTD's, BSOD's or hard locks of any kind.

I still have to go thru a clean install of Windows to solve my "inability to activate W11" issue, but that can wait for now.

EDIT: For anyone interested settings in CP77 are "all maxed" including all RT set to Ultra (no psycho), DLSS "Quality" FPS in the 60 - 75 range @ 3440*1440

Cheers!

Love the tight timings at 6000, nicely done!

Is that kit still Samsung?

The 32G kit is Dominator 6200 C36 Hynix....I could not get it stable at 6200 C36 though no matter what voltages and combo of voltages I threw at it.sometimes I could get a pass in Memtest then a fail later on w same settings, so gave up after a few days!
.....knocked it back to 6000 and lowered timings and all good......more than one way to skin a cat ;)

This build is pretty much done now....not planning anything further with it at this point.

I did order a new Lian Li case the O11 Dynamic XL silver (only one available) and got it on sale for $259 (Newegg).

Eventually this will be my new primary case...scale back the radiators from my 900D.

For now Im going to move my Maximus XI-Extreme 9900k hardware into it.....perhaps set it up as a server with Plex installed....for the time being.
I'll be able to get familiar with the case and see what I can eventually do with it when moving Alder Lake build into it.

The 9900k runs Plex like a dream.

I bet it does lol.....just not sure how to set it up ...will have to fumble through it. I have had plex installed on my Mac Book for a number of years with the media on a portable HDD plugged directly into my router (Asus Zen WiFi Mesh).
It works fine on any Smart device in my home, provided the Mac Book is up n running...so a bit of a pita always ensuring the Mac Book is on....
Would like to simply plug my portable HDD with all the media on it into the 9900K set up, install plex on that system....just not saure how to go about ensuring its accessible throughout my Home Network.
I am not a Network guy at all......but always seem to be able to fumble my way thru clicking on stuff to get it working properly....

It's pretty easy man. Better if you get a life time membership tho. Once it's installed you'll get a code to enter into the web service to allow access to each device, and that's pretty much it. Plex client finds the server on the network pretty fast.

I use an EXOS drive for plex rather than a USB drive. It can handle 8-10 simultaneous streams no problem. If you have a quadro card for devices that don't support the file video format exactly, you can then enable hardware support from the server and you're off to the races.

Thanks man.....Yes was going to simply install Plex (like I have it installed on my Mac Book)....then direct to the media files....I guess I could probably also just leave the portable drive on my Network router as well and direct plex to the media files...same way I do it with my Mac.
Biggest thing is my Mac goes to sleep or I turn it off and no Plex available....so this 9900k build I will just leave the pc on all the time....if that makes sense.
Or maybe it makes more sense to run the HDD with all the media off of the pc itself...Im no expert at all, but I always seem to fumble my way thru settings and make it work.
So far plex has been fine running of my Mac....just a pita when I go to watch somethng I realize my Mac is turned off.
