Well my brother wants a HDTV for his room and he was going to go with a 26" but any brand-name 26" is basically the same price as a 32" so might as well go bigger.

Anyways, looking at the $700 or less price point. Future Shop/Best Buy have a couple, but I was just wondering if anybody has a 32" LCD TV that they'd recommend.

Wow that was quick...

I'll post all the choices though:
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Sharp Aquos 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (LC32D44U)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Samsung 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (LN32A450)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: LG 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (32LG30)
Future Shop: TV & Video: 30"-39" TVs: Toshiba 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV** (32AV500U)

The Samsung could be had for $20 + 10% less and the LG could be had for 10% less. Unless I'm mistaking Best Buy/Future Shop's price match policy. Pretty sure its match + 10%. But if you guys say the Sharp's worth it, I'll pass that along to my brother.

You can't go wrong with an Aquos.

My friend who does repair calls for Shaw HD setups says that Sharp and Samsung have the best pictures for LCD tv's, with Pioneer the best for plasmas. He looks at HDTV's all day long.

I have the 46" Aquos. Beautiful picture, glad I bought it.

Well I think it's going to have to be the Samsung or LG. Both come to roughly $700 with tax (yay for price matching) compared to the Sharp that comes close to $800 with tax.

I don't think my brother is overly picky anyways. Going to go look at them tomorrow though, so we'll see.

ahaha good luck trying to get Future Shop or Best Buy to honor that policy! Never heard of anyone being able to do it as of yet. Although I'm sure you could... who are you pricematching it with, because they like to tell you how it has to be an "advertised price" thats with an "authorized reseller" oh and it can't be on any type of sale, or have limited quanities in any way.

Oh and +1 for the Sharp Aquos

Well I'd be price matching their direct competitor, themselves :bleh: I hate it when they're the same damn store yet they have different prices. Good for me though since it means price matching and 10%.

Hell, I had Future Shop price match PC Village for two 8800GTS 320MB. Just showed the sales guy the website.
