Aluminum SLS printed parts showed up from PCBWay. They definitely feel and sound like aluminum. Finish is odd tho.

Almost looks like it's cast?
That's what unfinished aluminum looks like. I'm sure you could powdercoat if you don't want to spend forever sanding and polishing. Or just leave it.
For large scale manufacturing I'm assuming that's where they'd throw it into a rolling drum with some kind of medium that would smooth out the edges?
