6 SERIES!

Gotta love them red apples.

This is gonna be a very hectic quarter however. Both sides of the coin are gonna do something big. We have seen rumors of part of the Red roadmap for Q4-10, Q1-11, but the green side also has something up their sleeves, ;) I'd be a good amount of money on it.

cheaper than a 5850 unless they just slashed prices on what little stock may be left

but but...oc it and still be on lower power draw and the performance to go with it..yummy

I'm secretly hoping the 6xxx series under-performs based solely on the reason I bought a 460 GTX to replace a 5770 a few weeks ago.

They still want $400 for the cheapest 5870, so I'm guessing we will see the 6870 come in lower at some of the more common online retailers (NCIX/newegg).

HD6850 they have @ $221

Sorry but the 68xx has been released specifically to :bananafunky: the 460, sideways.

I despise how much F@H restricts my GPU buying ability haha. Regardless, i'm extremely curious to see how these cards perform compared to the 58xx series. It should give us a nice idea of what to expect regarding the next gen (N. Islands I believe...correct me if i'm wrong).

Good to see Team red stomping though! I feel as if the 2900 XT was released just yesterday :D

Why would the 5870 be more powerful than the 6870? They're the same x870 series, so I sure would hope that the 6870 is more powerful...otherwise we'd be going backward in time!:blarg:

The 6870 isn't the replacement for the 5870. The 6970, or whatever, is.

That's cruel how can you hold this to us:shok:Can't wait anymore. But damn...if the 6870 replace the 5770 and is a bit slower than a 5870 at a 5850 price...that's more than awesome???

Some are speculating that the 6870 is actually faster than the 470, particularly since Nvidia is trying to permanently reduce the price of both the 460 and 470. I wonder how their manufacturers feel about this? I know the consumer doesn't care, but if the 470 starts selling for $250......

Also, if the 6870 has the potential to beat the 470.......How good will the 69xx series be!? :shok:

Whelp, Guru3d prematurely posted its review, so I have a good idea of how the cards perform. They've taken it down now I suspect.

Its down but had been captured and posted everywhere.
Happy I dont have any GPU's in the BST right now.

At least I know why Nvidia is rushing to lower prices....I'm particularly impressed to see the performance of 6850 considering it's a 1 pin GPU.
