6 SERIES!

Whelp, Guru3d prematurely posted its review, so I have a good idea of how the cards perform. They've taken it down now I suspect.
Looks like the 6870 topped the GTX 470 in all the gaming benchmarks (only showed 1920x1200, so results may vary). With an MSRP of $249 that's a pretty good value as long as you don't use your graphics card for folding. Just as I was about to start reading the overclocking section the article was taken down. :censored: Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

better than 2 4870s in crossfire? (i'd assume since it's one card, it lacks the issues that crossfire has sometimes?

like i said before, fps/watt=:thumb:

still, i want to see reviewers clock the fudge out of these, and then measure power draw again. one more :bananafunky:

can't wait to see actual numbers so speculation stops and we know exaclty where the market is going

initial pricing may be a bit on the high side, but after the dust settles and you can get a 6870 for 260 or so(hopefully) it wont be much of a choice. unless you fold. but even there

You must not have read page 1.

I think you'll see prices well under $260.

I am due to change my 4850 which is starting to show its age. I think I'll have interesting choices to make in the up coming weeks.

Based upon performance reviews, the 6870 trumps the stock 460, and is at price and performance setting of a 470.

its really just a 3 month later release of nV's 460. Remember how we were all like "Wow, this card is sweet!"? Now its AMD's turn.

Yeah, the 6850 not only beats the 460, but does it with one pin. I feel like an idiot having bought the 5830. This card will be around the same price, but 15-20% better.
