Anyone hitting refresh to buy new Ryzen today? 3600 3600X 3700X 3800X 3900X?

keep in mind the Ryzen's are compatible with ECC RAM...if that's an important feature on your server. ;)

Once in a blue moon the system I have server crashes. But that is so rare. Most problems u have with mysetup is my crappy network. Network problems outweight server problem s.

what will I notice with the ECC ram?. Isn't it slower?

For what most people do with home servers ECC vs Non-ECC is really not an issue.
However, if you have more mission critical stuff (hosted game server etc) it makes more of a case for itself.

And Slightly slower RAM will make no tangible difference to anyone.

As for the Article at hand, it is very nice to see AMD is making such good forward motions with their chips.
Hopefully Zen2+ will remove some of the hard power limits and allow for higher Boost Clocks. It is still progress, and I for one am happy with it.
