Has anyone checked these headphones out? They won this year's CES innovative product award in design and engineering. What's awesome is that there's no headphone DSP needed, so you have to set them as speakers!

They're made in Alberta and although the GST is applied, the shipping cost is $15 instead of $40. :canadianwave:

Too bad they're slightly pricey at $300.

But how how do you think they would compare to Logitech's and Razer's 7.1 headsets?

I'll be picking up a pair when they're available... What interests me in this headset is that the drivers are in the headband :o

Can't wait to get my hands on these :D

Great Canadian company and unlike the Logitech 7.1 headphones I tried at CES, these ones have some serious balls. However, we are talking $300+ MSRP which is steep for many people.

I can't recall the layout exactly. I am waiting to hear back from my rep at Psyko about the connectors and the status of a review sample.

If Mr.Dre can command $400CAD for his cans, $300 should seem like a steal ;)

Apples and oranges. Completely different technology and targeted markets.

That's a huge thing to consider when discussing technology...prices don't nessecarily denote the intended market. Especially in this instance and the BEATS by Dre. If you don't mix music, the BEATS aren't really marketed at you...I truly feel these are intended for studio professionals, but they are using the Dre name to also cater to a specific end-user group...and that user group is not the same one as these cans are intended.

I sure hope HWC has the exclusive being that its a Canadian company and all. It would seem very fitting to be reviewed by you guys.
