Dell Ultrasharp U2713 27” AH-IPS Monitor Review COMMENT THREAD

I posted this on the Deals thread, but if anyone's looking for this monitor, the cheapest I've found next to Dell.ca is here;

Total with shipping and customs is $868.40 to Edmonton

Just over $200 less than the Dell.ca price of $1,097.24 to Edmonton. I've never used B&H before so someone might want to chirp in on how they are as a retailer. Also ships right away, not 2-3 weeks later like Dell's estimated ship date.

Just can't decide if I want one of these or an Overlord. 120hz for gaming does sound really nice, but these Dells are getting awesome reviews.

That's a good point, I wasn't sure if it carried the normal Dell warranty or not. It should have a manufacturer's warranty like any new model, but I haven't had anything to do with dell for years, so I'm not sure the specifics of buying a dell product from somewhere else.

Yeah... it's not the fact that it's a third party seller that would be a concern, it's the fact that it's a US reseller as opposed to a Canadian one. Costco.ca sells Dell Monitors and warranty isn't an issue (in fact, Costco has their own warranty attached to it as well).

Hey cool, I had no idea Costco sold Dell monitors!!! I purchased my U2711 a number yrs ago through dell.ca
 
It's been a while since I looked, but they had the 22" IPS models at just slightly more than the Dell Sale price. That was on the website... don't think I've ever seen them in store.
 
^^^^ That is a great price, think I got my U2711 on sale at Dell a few yrs ago for around $650 - $700.

They really are awesome monitors, definitely one of the best gaming HW upgrades I ever made!!

That is a really good deal, almost as good as what I paid on the Days of Dell deal. For that I paid $583.99, $613.89 after taxes and shipping.

Really good monitors, well worth it.
