EPIC Deal: Dell 2209WA eIPS 22" LCD Monitor - $250 Shipped & Taxes Included

I would appreciate if you were to share the settings as I have not calibrated a monitor in a long time. This panel is very nice but I haven't got that "WOW" factor yet (haven't used it much to be fair). I was also using my sony 40" 1080p prior to this which has a gorgeous picture.

Thanks

Yeah any other settings you guys find I'll save and try to see which one suits my room the best. I love this monitor, my dad saw it asked if he was getting that one since it strains his eyes less than my old 2253BW(Lol I knew I shoulda got 2)

Bah! I have a small cluster of black pixels near the bottom right corner of the screen. Ah well, I will just swap this one out with one at work and let the company deal with it if they choose to. I'd be ok with it being a workhorse at work, but not a pride and joy at home. Well back in the box she goes.

I did mess around with it some though. This screen also seemed to be more troublesome to calibrate than the others I have done today. Maybe it's a Friday panel? Anyways I'll be back tomorrow night with updates on how it goes with another one and maybe some more insight on settings and such.

I figured out that colour profiles are as easy as anything else to copy and distribute so I'll be happy to share. I'd like to try another screen though before I feel good about one though. Still if you'd like the one I made tonight PM me with your email and I'll pass it on to you.

One thing I really like about this one compared to my 2007WFP is the menus. Praise be to the Emperor, for that!

Dell WILL send you a replacement and will actually ship it to you before you send back the faulty one.

bummer.... At least you can pull the swap from work  or do what SKYMTL said. Thanks for your help with the settings.. I will just wait till you get up and running at home.

cheers

Brightness: ~10 (suit to taste after)
Contrast: 79 (check LCDtest to custom to your panel)

Colors RGB Custom: R 98 G 97 B 99 (again, every 2209WA panel will be a bit different)
Sharpness: 40

I also had to lower my Gamma to 45% (nV Control Panel) to get close to the 2.2 level.

Thats mine. Looks good now :)

I tried out your settings and went through my digital pics.. much better:thumb: I have that WOW feeling now! However I was able to find 4 separate spots with stuck red pixels... The one is almost right in the middle and appears to be 2 or 3 together:sad:

Anyone else find any stuck pixels?

One of my panels has a nasty cluster of them. Another has one stuck pixel.
