I am so freakin sick of Eakins and his coaching decisions.

Best two oilers last night by a mile were Yakupov and Petry. Both of whom got stapled to the bench in the third. Sure enough, Oilers shit the bed in the third.

I was watching the game at work, they were pressing and looking good, then all of a sudden it was over!

I can't even stand looking at Eakins. :dots:

Petry is a healthy scratch tonight because Eakins feels that Petry is "behind."

He's completely outplayed every other defenceman on the team by an absolute mile, so if he is behind then we are well and truly screwed.

No Nuge or Eberle tonight either. Enjoy your first NHL game Darnell. Only against the top team in the league...I'm sure everything will go just fine.
I don't think I'll even bother watching this one as it's going to be an absolute massacre unless LA takes pity on us and eases off after going up 4-0 in the first period.
 
Decide this season not to follow the Oilers until Lowe and possibly even Katz is gone.

Checked the strandings a few days ago and see the Oilers are 2 points out of DFL.
Further review shows the only reason they are not DFL is a herculean effort by Buffalo to lose 10 straight games without a point.

Yep... the coach and the players are the problem not management and ownership.
 
As someone in the area, the Oilers aren't my team, but I follow them. It's really great how we keep getting great picks, immediately catapulting them into the NHL, burning the players with no support to only end up in a spot where they will have to be traded away anyway.
 
Well I have to say, damn that McDavid can play. While I still believe the Oilers have a ways to go, I mean they still need defense and goaltending, I do think they are headed in the right direction finally.
