Hey guy's,

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the EVGA Kingpin 980 ti or galax hof 980 ti in Canada ?? ( I realize they might not have the stock but I'm looking for someone who at least able to stock it )

Also maybe somewhere from the USA that has shipping that includes duties and all the fee's.

Thanks,

I don't believe the Kingpin 980 Ti is released yet, which is probably why you can't find it. Normally you can get Kingpins through Newegg, and Memory Express usually has a wide EVGA selection (SC+, FTW and Classified for certain, I can't remember for sure if they stock kingpins, but they could order it). Pretty sure NCIX gets them as well.

For the galaxy you'll probably have a bit more difficulty, they're more of a European brand. I'm not saying it's a definite 'no', but I wouldn't be surprised if you had to special order it.

The kingpings got released last week but that's good to know who stocks them. I've never bought high end and always went mid-range so I've never had too wait or even look for stock before lol. Ahh that also makes sense that the HoF is from NA and I can't find a single retailer that talks about them

If that's the case it might still be a bit before anyone has them in stock. Took about 2-3 weeks from 'release' for Mem Ex and Newegg to have any stock when the reference Ti was released.

I think the reference Zotacs or PNYs may have come in a touch earlier, but it wasn't by much and that doesn't really help you much. Just keep checking their sites or use PC part picker to see who has them listed when availability actually comes around.

Finding Galaxy in USA or CAN is very dificult.
many of us have tried and most have to import to get them at greater cost.

As far as Kingpin. if you are not OCING under cold don't bother the EVGA ACX-2.0 is what your looking for They use the same cooler.

The rest of the Kingpin options are for OCING Hardcore under cold. - Voltage readings / EVBOT / ETC

Yah so it looks like the HoF is out of the question ( to bad because the white really went with my build also ) I wont be going LN but I am looking into liquid cooling. I've never done it so I won't be going a full custom loop but instead the Swiftech - Water Cooling Kits with a second rad for the GPU

Galax's North American distribution is toast. I'm just curious as to why you'd want to spend such a massive dollar amount on a GPU that, unless used under LN2, likely won't overclock any better than other less expensive options.

Skymtl is correct , Their is actually no guarantee that the kingpin card will OC better than ACX2.0 cards even under LN2 but the difference is you can read voltages while the cards running, Plug in EVBOT to monitor temps and make changes on the fly during Cold benching etc.

So even for Water its not really useful as all those tools are for when you have a mobo on a bench or a Box actively monitoring things out in the open.

As soon as that card goes into a computer case those options become completely useless and thats what your paying the premium for.

its your choice but you will not be getting your $ worth on the Kingpin model over others.

Wow ok I didn't really know that !! I'm still fairly new to the computer's when it comes to stuff like that . I'm just a gamer who loves to have the best :) I think I'll just go with EVGA SC+ ACX+ then, unless theres a better brand of card that I am unaware of ?

The Classified card has an identical air-cooler to the Kingpin and over-clocked as the Gigabyte card.
