Need NAS Advice

I have a Drobo, it's nice and has been working non-stop the last few years.
I feel like I wasted a lot of money on it for what I got tho.
Transfers are very slow and the administrative interface is very lacking - I never know what's going on with it if it has a fault or wont boot.

But thanks for the review,...I guess!:haha:

I have been extremely happy with my Qnap. Got a TS 853 pro and it has been flawless. Set it up, connected my ups, built my array and chugged along for a month. Got an email from the machine with an error alert saying a disk had failed and got home and pulled the drive, slapped in a replacement and it rebuilt in about a day and been going strong for a solid year. Only thing I can say is you need to telnet into the device to increase the build speed with one simple command. Worked like a charm.

I really love this unit, but wish I splurged for one with 10Gbps upgradability. Don't need it now, but sure would be nice when the kids start to get older and are pulling from it too. Oh well, I guess I get to upgrade at some point ;)
