Rants etc.....

I think the main thing is that our XP build is slow as balls even on the brand new i5/i7 ultrabooks we use. Win7 makes them fly in comparison.

Believe me, I know where you're coming from. I'm part of a team working on a migration to Win7/Office 2010.

The XP image where I am is dog slow, and I'm regularly rebooting to clear up the leaks eating up multiple gigs of pagefile and fix regular issues with graphics drivers.

Grrr why in the hell does my Dual boot windows7/linux AMD system disconnect from the net off and on when I am in windows but if I am in Linux I have no problems, I have updated the chipset nretwork drivers even tried different web browsers ,everything I can think of and still I have internet ( DNS not responding according to the win7 troubleshooter) at first I thought that it was the network then I noticed that every other system running has no problems.
I had this problem before when I was using this older AMD sabertooth 990fx with 1100t be cpu running windows 7 so I installed Linux and have been using it as a HTPC .
hell when I was testing windows 8 and 8.1 never had any problems just windows 7

Is your NIC set to powerdown?

RANT:

Why The Hell does the hair on my head get less and the hair everywhere else grows more? Is this some cruel joke?

It is nature's way of telling you to visit more nude beaches! :thumb:
Or at the very least start wearing speedos at regular beaches, you too LP.
Well TBH I was meaning my ears, eye brows and nose hair. Mind you having a metal eye shield taped to my face for the last three months has one eyebrow a hella lot thinner.
But then again I did find a 6 inch hair on my chest the other week and was WFT?
My wife would kill me if I wore a speedo, If I did it would have to be a thong type speedo.:dots:

And of course then I would be obligated to post a photo on the boards........what can be seen can not be unseen.

Heh.... AFAIC the first real sign of old(ish) age creeping up is when your barber either offers to trim your eyebrows, or when they nonchalantly trim the long hair(s) growing on the bottom of your earlobe..... ;)
