Rants etc.....

Heh.... AFAIC the first real sign of old(ish) age creeping up is when your barber either offers to trim your eyebrows, or when they nonchalantly trim the long hair(s) growing on the bottom of your earlobe..... ;)

They have been doing the ear thing on me for a good 5 years already.. I'm not old :P :blarg:

Dammit know matter what I do the combination of my asus sabertooth 99fx MB and windows 7 constantly have DNS problems I searched every and tried several different thngs and still all day I get disconnections off an on all Day DNS problems and it only happens with windows 7 my linux ( dual boot) OS has no problems what so ever.
hell I even changed the DNS server setting on my router ( even though it has nothing to do with this windows problem)
I really don't want to have to change OS .
the only reason why I am using windows 7 on this PC ( my media pc) is to play windows based games which will be a few weeks because I am waiting for l my Bios chip for my Gameing PC .
I had this problem before with this PC kept getting disconections and thought that it was the on board lan but then I installed linux and everything works perfectly.

I have an order on my desk here for a product we haven't even made in 10 years, and it was a really crappy product 10 years ago... some of our sales guys should be dragged into the street and shot.

Heh... I was on the other end of that discussion as a customer looking for a specific pump part off of a workshop ultrasonic cleaner.... when I mentioned the model number there was a significant pause, and the response was basically... "last person here who even saw one of those let alone worked on it was gord, and he retired 7 years ago...." ;)

I'm sitting here in a WinXP VM as I have to use 16bit freaking software...

And now I have to move the files over to a MS-DOS 6.22 handheld PC as it's the only thing slow enough to communicate properly with the product...

And I almost forgot about the 8 character file name limitation...

Internet speeds generally crappy... feel like it's a routing issue but not sure where to look for info. Not a DNS issue either.
