Not really much of a rant... (we've all been there)... but thing(s) that irk me this evening (morning) are ide laptop HDDs that won't boot and start making that dreaded "tock, tock, tock" sound signifying that the read arm is beating itself to death on the stop...... ;)

Can't concentrate...being in sleep mode all day ...besides that my f..ing printer doesn't work when I really need to print something

^^^^ Yeah its almost like Printers have a brain of thier own eh......and when they are working fine....your now out of ink...wtf!!??...or it tells you your "almost" out of ink when you know damn well its still half full!!!

That sounds like the old HP models that had a time stamp on the cartridge which (for "print quality" reasons of course) which would render the cartridge non-functional no matter how much ink was left in it.........

Here's one the bugs me daily. The City of Calgary, specifically my ward alderman, is ignoring poorly lit crosswalks. At night it is not possible to see people trying to cross at three crosswalks until the last minute. It is a matter of time before someone gets smoked there.

Another note about Calgary, dont you just LOVE a city with one of the most amazing racing facilities in all of Canada, due to politics and the crazy mayor of our city, gets the thumbs down for lease renewal, so the facility falls to sh^ts, track isnt repaired, promoters cant do d^ck with it, everyone was told its going to be demolished, only to get a 5 year stay right at the last damn minute. Awesome, dont make it 10 years, dont make it 20, give it a short 5 years! Who is going to front the millions needed to fix up the facility if they can only have it for 5 damn years!

Add to that, the Mayors reason for wanting it gone, is the expansion of the cities water storage ponds. Now that the city has voted to extend the racetracks lease for 5 years, the city is forced to spend a "little" extra and expand in a different direction around the track. So why stick it to 5 damn years! If your already expanding around it, make the lease 50 years! That way it would be an awesome idea for investors! Im sure the water life wont complain about the damn noise, its possibly the best place for a racetrack! These guys are retarded!

Oh and its amazing.... we get bombarded with the mayor telling everyone that its a small monority that WANT the track to stay, saying hes is doing what the people want, yet CTV does a poll..... they say its one of the most popular polls they have run (meaning alot more voters than usual) and the result..... 86% are in favour of keeping the race track.......

Online polls are of very dubious value. In general, only the folks who are passionate about the topic participate, so it is very easy for a small minority to greatly skew the results. (Why we see completely different results in political polls depending on the editorial slant of the website).

I'm not saying this is the case here, but I put very little faith in on-line polls.

Naw...its a Brother Mr Wilson....still works, but my little "Printer Icon" goes from green to amber color pre-maturaly....annoying!

It was a phone in poll from what i remember, ran over two nights with the news in Calgary. I agree tho, online polls are a bit sketchy. i was really surprised about the phone poll tho, as i started to believe i was in the minority who thought we needed to keep it. But hey :D

my school has my entire class scheduled for 13 hours of classes every Tuesday, so we start school at 8:30 and we don't get to leave till 9:30 at the earliest... and not only that, the las 3 hours of classes are with a lady that barely knows more than we already do on the subject and everyone wants to kill her as is, add 10 hours of stressful school before that and someone may snap.
