Rants etc.....

:angry2: Purolator! I ordered some camera gear from B&H since (surprisingly) it ended up cheaper than buying here even with our conversion. It originally had a delivery date of July 12 which turned into "Not available". It's still sitting at the sort center by the tracking. Emailed Purolator on Monday, no reply. Emailed B&H and they haven't been able to get in touch with Purolator either.

I don't get it, Canada Post didn't get locked out, it's business as normal AFAIK?
 
Stupid woman at my work not understanding that IT IS NOT OK TO LEAVE YOUR DOG INSIDE YOUR CAR WHILE SHOPPING . I was almost going to smash out her window because the dog was panting so hard and Animal control hadn't shown up or the Police for that matter , 45 minutes latter she shows up wondering what the problem is. she tells me oh my Dog is panting he always does that when I leave him in the car. GRRRRR I had to explain to her the reason why your dog is doing this is because of the heat inside your car that had a black roof and black sun roof and the passenger window open maybe 1/2". of course the way the law is I wasn't allowed to make her stay there until animal control came, which they did show up 3 minutes after she left.

I hope you at least documented this on your phone (video), including the license plate. IF only it happens again and you call it in stating they are a repeat offender.

I don't get these people, they have NO reason to be ignorant like this. We hear about stuff like this every year, I even remember news stories about toddlers being left in cars ... sadly, common sense isn't that common at all! :censored:

There was a child left in the Costco parking lot in the car for over an hour this week in Markham and stories such as this are becoming more and more common.
 
Day 2 of some "minor touchups" in the basement 3pc bathroom that was not supposed to need work. Main 3" drain stack was sheared in half where the smaller 1 1/2" drain from the kitchen sink and basement bathroom sink drain T into it. It's been leaking since we have been here for the last 2 years, now I also know where that random stinky sewer gas smell is coming from. By the time I am done "touching up' this bathroom I will have gutted it and rebuilt it.

Remember, the main floor bathroom/entire house water piping replacement job is coming up in 2 weeks so this is just the warmup, lol. I need this one fixed now, and for no money. Sigh.....
