Rants etc.....

I want to like Amazon.ca, I really do. Their processing times are for the birds. How are we ever going to move forward to an online economy when the "biggest" online retailer takes 4 days to process an order that is supposed to be from their warehouse?

I should have also also added I F'N HATE A/C season. My wife has to have it, her disability really causes here significant suffering if she is too hot. I personally HATE A/C and love the heat/sun. THe things we do for those we love....

Hrmmmmmmm......

Maybe Visa's "Verified By Visa" verification website should be within the Visa domain? Shipping me off to some website I've never heard of (arcot.com) to ask me to fill in questions that would allow anybody to hijack my account didn't particularly fill me with a warm and fuzzy.....

Fortunately I was able to pre-register my card through my bank's website and thus was able to return to complete the transaction without having to enter in the data on a questionable website.

Apparently the arcot.com site is legit, but goes against the grain of everything we tell folks not to do when it comes to internet security......

Do you have Prime?

I placed an order last Wednesday, but it wasn't processed/shipped until Monday and I picked it up at Canada Post today. I suspect Amazon is delaying non-Prime/free shipping orders to try and convince people to upgrade to Prime... as if.

Amazon.ca has always been a shitty imitation of the main site, which is one of the few things I missing about living in the US.

Amazon and their policies on counterfeit goods is really something that puts a bad taste in my mouth. They are really gutting the real manufacturer and profiting from scum. That makes them scum in my eyes.

Especially when it just made the 4th richest man in the world, the third richest...

No prime, I will not pay extra for the "privilege" of buying from someone.

Walmart and the Waltons own the title of shittiest of the shit in my heart.

It's paid itself many times over just from shipping. I don't have to look for dumb fillers to get free shipping. They issue gift card credits for products that get cancelled due to stock issues and even on price errors. Their refund process is really easy too.

Regarding counterfeit goods, every online marketplace will have the same problem. At least when it's fulfilled by Amazon the return process is very easy (compared to eBay etc)

Damnit!!!! How bloody hard is it to manufacture a 5 or 6" right angle 3.5mm audio patch cord?

Maybe my google foo skills are majorly failing me this evening, but so far the only one I've been able to find has been a pair of them through amazon.ca (https://www.amazon.ca/SuperBZ-4-Pol...0&sr=8-2&keywords=5"+right+angle+stereo+cable) I'll probably end up ordering them, but WTH can't I find any others unless it's something through alibaba that requires a minimum number order????

I must have weird tastes... seems like every time I head out to the interwebs to find a specific item to fill a well defined need I end up hitting a brick wall.... I thought the whole idea of the global marketplace was that somebody somewhere is going to produce the things we need/want.... instead, rather than a marketplace full of multiple sources of anything we can think of, we're stuck with a million sources all building the same bloody things...........
