Yeah they are definitely going about it all the wrong way. I'm terribly sorry though for any harm I've caused to HWC for making the offending post though. I don't recall there being any issues when Windows 7 went RTM...
I could understand if I was bad-mouthing it that they'd want it taken down, but simply trying to advertise for them and praise their new product seems beneficial. Clearly somebody as MS hasn't learned about social media.
To me, I'd want as many people as possible to use my product. Whether they get it legally or otherwise, it's still growing my brand and presence. I guess they realize is going to be a massive failure though with similar adoption rates to Vista, so they're trying to prevent any and all "public" comments about it.
Heh... I doubt it was anything you posted. In fact, I seem to recal posting a link to the ever popular Metro / AOL comparison image, which I'm assuming stands a good chance of being what Microsoft took offence to.

How Google’s DMCA tactic helps Bing.com, anti-piracy flaw | MyCE.com
Really? Microsoft files DCMA complaints to google to force removal of google search results, but doesn't remove those search results from bing??? Gee.... as much as I hate the idea of another big corp vrs corp lawsuit, I'd love to see Google take Microsoft to court demanding damages for anti-competetive behaviour. Hell... maybe they can convince the EU to block all use of Bing from the Eurozone.....
