Helping a friend reformat his Asus G51VX and noticed that his gpu was overheating and throttling down. Offering to repaste his gpu was the worst idea ever. 4 hours later and i'm stuck on trying to remove a rock solid paste from his heatsink. I've tried a credit card, a knife, and at this point, i'm about to lap the goddamn thing with sandpaper. Never in my life have I seen paste this hard to remove. It's almost a metallic liquid metal ...... i've scratched the heatsink but not the paste....

Oh and where the f*ck do you buy 1mm thick thermal pads in ontario...or even canada

Edit:4am and I've given up and used MEK.....
Edit 2: Dayum. Used Tamiya model cement, pasted it on the thermal paste and let the methyl ethyl ketone do its job. Turned into the easiest paste removal ever

Wow probably would have been my best run ever ... it was very very icy so I did have to run and some parts walk very gingerly over all of the ICe and frost cover parts and also I forgot to turn on my timer until I reached the lake part ( 1/3 total distance) hehe so I added another 12mins to the time that I did have the clock running.

Went shopping at city center mall in Edmonton with my brother since he needed new jeans. My god what is with young men these days. Three of them in the change room together trying on new ''outfits''. Since when do guys even shop together? These guys were't even gay, they were just getting new threads for going out i guess. Last time I checked it was the women who are supposed to be the peacocks and worry about looking pretty, not the men. :blarg:

Dey got swag yo
