Just an FYI. If you mount a network cabinet upside down, it takes about 200 pounds for the hinge pin to sheer off.

That is unfortunate but good information to know.
When I did it, there weren't any loose fibres floating around. More of a chunk kind of stuff. But I really don't know.
When it rains, it pours. My wife came home this morning with our exhaust hanging off, so off to our local guys, hopefully this bill is not too bad. This Christmas has become a very expensive one.
Was the cat cut? They just leave everything dangling and dragging when they do that. Exhaust noise would have been a dead giveaway. Could hear my "catless straight piped" 4G69 from blocks away when it happened to me.
purolater couriers at least that deliver in my are pretty bad also when I track my shipment it doesn't tell me anything at all it says order should arrive between Oct 31 and nov 07 so Ilook at the update for today it shows this
tiodaY i GO FOR A walk notice a Purolator truck pulling into the parking lot I walk over ( its an item I got for free plus my money back faultry item) anyway I literally watched the guy open up the back of the truck walk up to the intercom put a sticker o nthe window alk back to the truck with a package Iask him who its for he says my name I say thats me he does confirm it was me but he didnt even use the buzzzer, I had a similar thing happen last week an item arrive I get a phone call tha s hows up as Ontario on my cell phone I live in BC instinct says answer the phone the guy asks me to walk downstairs Itell him to just buzz me I will let him in he says tit doesn't work I ask for the code he used he gives me the correct code , so I walk down there grab my item and ask one of the people I know to buzz my code in about one minute he does my buzzer worked , this is also why I rarely order thing from New egg its because they use Purolator I have always had issues with that company even when I lived in Abbotsford BC they wouldnt deliver things saying no one was home and they tried to call no answer and I have had to drive 15-20 km to pick up my items wish when ordering something I would have a choice of which courier to use be it Can post or a different one.
anyway I am pretty much stuck at home all week because I am not sure when any of my PC parts orders are going to show up why do I pay for shipping when I end up having to pick items up after a 40-minute drive lol

No, it wasn't an attempt to steal the Cat; just an 8-year-old car and only the muffler broke off. The car is still pretty quiet. I noticed a different sound, the wife couldn't really tell.
So my local garage called me back and can't get parts for a 2018 chevy sonic yup thats right they dont make exhaust system's/mufflers for them anymore WTF, He pointed me towards a guy just outside of town who does custom work/exhausts, the earliest he can fit me in is Saturday morning which means we wont get the car back till next week, I am going to take a look at it tonight once I get it home to see if I can make it safe to drive.
The car must have heard us talking about buying a new car soon. The only reason we don't do that right now is that we want to pay cash for it, which will drain us to zero, so I won't do that, but all I need is another 8-12 months, then we will go car shopping.
Depending on how and where it is broken an exhaust band clamp might be enough for that purpose. Would only work if there is enough piping still attached etc.

hehe long ago when something happened to my vehicle's exhaust like if the pipe broke off before the muffler the old school soup can and hose clamps worked wonders for years same goes for whole in the pipe but if it broke off right at the muffler well time to replace. The other thing though is that mufflers serve another purpose besides quietness, it creates back pressure for the engine some engines a need certain amount of back pressure for them to run longer and correctly .
I remember long ago we had a 68 mustang 427 big block no mufflers but it did have tunes exhaust which when you looked at the pipes the would be thin in some places whicker in others the took a bit of engineering ( which is beyond me how to figure that out) to calculate the proper back pressure and amazingly the mustang really wasn't that loud well at least until you stepped o nit .

So a little while ago went to a different registry then normal (one that was open late) as my registration is coming due soon but I wanted to get a support our troops plate for the renewal.
They screwed up the order and I cannot renew the registration with the plate as is. Registration is my my wife and my name, plate was only ordered with my name attached. Now I need to fill out forms and pay an extra fee to address the error.
Basically wasted most of my lunch break to have to make a 3rd trip.
