Rants etc.....

I never allow anyone access to my bank account. They get money when I say they get money, if at all :thumb:

It's just too dangerous.

I had BCHydro send me a massive bill that they said I owed. I literally phoned them up and said "Yeah, no. It's a mistake, fix it." The guy looked into it for all of 10 seconds and said "Yeah, it is, I'll fix it". What the HELL was that all about? If I would have had that type of billing they just would have took it and everything else would have bounced that month.

No thanks.

Communication... That is my Rant weather it be between family, friends, work or even here. I do it everyone else does it, when people go way out of their way then completely space on getting back to you. I am guilty of both sides of this on a weekly basis, as well as guilty of being left in the dark on a weekly basis.

That's all I have to rant about today as the snow outside makes it to hard to be mad :)

Yep, only thing I let them take out on a monthly basis automatically is my car insurance as I don't have a job (like last year where I paid it all in one lump sum).

I just don't trust these businesses to get it right and I'd rather have to talk to someone to get a charge fixed then talk to someone to somehow get my money back in 5-6 months...

Was doing a custom home about 10 yeaars ago, Temp ole and compresor and a few saws running off it. The home owner come to us about a month in and asks "how much power does that compressor pull? Because I just got a bill for $34oo in power"
Um no a compressor and a couple of saws dont equal 34hun.:dots:

Roads are shit in Calgary today and people are driving like complete morons spinning their tires and fish tailing everywhere causing accidents. Drive up the road a bit and see a woman and her child walking in the blizzard as their car got stuck and 6 cars drove by! Seriously people?! Stop and ask.

Yeah, strangely enough I'm more comfortable setting up auto payments through Visa than my bank account because I know I can dispute a payment / charge on the card. That said, I've only got one monthly payment (newspaper) and my annual "don't lose your points" pay-go phone topup that are done automatically. The rest are paid manually through on-line banking.

Amen, The city said on the radio last night that the snow wouldn't be on the ground very long, might want to take a second look out of the window :blarg:

Biggest issue is the snow drifts. I honestly don't care. I have a 4x4 truck with clearance and know how to drive in this crap. People are just bloody idiots out there.

IF I noticed anyone that was far from something or in unsuitable clothes, then yes...
But if your in distress you try wave someone down.

This is seen everywhere these days. Hate seeing people walk past when someone could obviously do with some help
