Rants etc.....

Our new kitty we got from the rescue shelter is in heat........ Thank goodness her meow is not too loud, but our 15 year old neutered Siamese kitty is not even slightly amused with her, lol.

The first time I heard a cat in heat was when I was visiting a friend's family in Laguna Niguel. The screeching was so loud and terrible I thought a child was getting assaulted and attacked somewhere nearby :shok:

After tracking it down I couldn't believe the noise was coming from a cat hahaha.

cats in heat man I hate that when I used to live in an apartment there were a few ( lack of a better word) feral cats in heat around this time of year noisey very noisey always reminds me of what Robin Williams used to say in his translation of cats in heat they are screaming " More fore paw, More fore paw" lol

We're pretty lucky, she's relatively quiet even when constantly meowing, lol. She's already got a vet visit setup on the 9th, they prefer to do the spaying when they are out of heat.

I've never had UPS make multiple tries. It's always 1 try and a slip.

With every company it seems (to me) like it really just depends on your local delivery guy. When I was in downtown Edmonton the FedEx and UPS guys were a disaster and Purolator and CP were awesome. In the river valley by the Muttart, Canada post was decent, everyone else was terrible.

Now that I'm on the south side, I've struck it lucky. The CP lady for our building/area is fantastic and UPS has also been really good. Purolator's guy has been pretty good and I've stopped using FedEx entirely haha. FedEx in Edmonton is especially annoying since there's only one pickup depot on the very Southeast edge of the city that doesn't have great hours.

Must be lucky this side of the pond.. Most places take your number and the driver calls before they are on the way to make sure you will be in.. They can even deliver to an alternate address (you need id)
Only problem I ever had was a delivery guy decided that he'd be smart with a small package and leave it in my porch... didn't find it funny when I reported him for forging my signature.. Or when I reported him for calling to my house to try and get me to retract it. Still see him driving round for the same company so he didn't get fired but I hope he'd learnt something from it.

When I lived in the UK, I had really good experiences with Royal mail, but didn't use almost anyone else. Usually if I wasn't home they'd just leave it with building security who'd then do a signed release after seeing ID and it all worked really well.

Sadly the same 'good experience' can't be said of the food over there :S

Rants

It's pretty good around where I am. Postal depot, UPS are both a stone's throw away though id the posty misses you there's no 2nd attempt, while Fed EX and Purolator, if you're not there and want it, you can gert it after 5 pm, and

those locations are across the city. Cost as much as the delivery fees...hehehe

DHL on the other hand, jury is still out on them. Got my 1st delivery np.

What I don't appreciate is when they show up, don't even knock, then leave a sticker.

My daughter was home with the dogs, so if someone would've knocked they'd go nuts, so we couldn't miss a knock on the door.

They're supposed to be back around now, so I'm waiting with bated breath.

New block for the kpe.:thumb:

Rants

Well even though I asked which blocks fit the kingpin, then ordered from their list, sent an email to make sure and mentioned it was for the kingpin, I still got the wrong block!:shok:

Man oh man, gonna be a long week trying to get that sorted.:blarg:

Back to the 670s and 980 I guess.:dots:

I'll post a cpl of results for those 670s from yesterday. Got them close to 19000 on 3DMark 11.
